Marketing Internship – Content & Brand (Gemma Associates)

About the Role
Gemma Associates is building its brand from the ground up — and we want someone who is excited to be part of that from day one. As our Marketing Intern, you will own our social media presence, craft content that speaks directly to the leaders and companies we serve, and work hand-in-hand with our Business Development team to turn storytelling into real client conversations.
This is not a “make coffee and observe” internship. You will have real ownership, real output, and real impact on how Gemma shows up in the market.
What You Will Do
Content & Social Media
- Manage and grow Gemma’s presence across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
- Create compelling content — posts, reels, stories, carousels — that resonates with two very different audiences: fast-moving startups and senior decision-makers at FMCG and tech giants
- Develop a consistent content calendar aligned with business priorities and market moments
- Write with clarity and edge — every caption, headline, and story should feel intentional, not generic
Online Marketing & Analytics
- Track content performance using Google Analytics and platform-native insights
- Translate data into actionable recommendations — what is working, what is not, and why
- Support SEO and digital marketing initiatives to grow Gemma’s organic reach
Brand Building
- Help define and maintain Gemma’s visual and tonal identity across all channels
- Contribute to the development of Gemma’s brand narrative — who we are, what we stand for, and why it matters to the market
- Ensure every piece of content reinforces our positioning as a credible, high-calibre executive search firm
Business Development Support
- Collaborate with the BD team to develop targeted outreach materials and campaign assets for startup and FMCG/tech audiences
- Support the creation of marketing campaigns that generate qualified leads and open doors to new client relationships
- Research target companies and industries to inform campaign strategy and messaging
What We Are Looking For
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- Portfolio of content work — personal projects, university campaigns, or freelance work all count
- Proficient with Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn — you understand how each platform works and what performs on each
- Familiar with Google Analytics or willing to learn fast
- Strong writing skills in English — you can write for a startup founder and a Fortune 500 CMO in the same week
- Basic design skills (Canva, Figma, or Adobe) are a strong plus
- Data-curious — you look at numbers and ask “what does this tell me?”
- Creative but commercially grounded — great content that drives no business outcome is just noise
- Self-starter — you manage your own time and hit your own deadlines
- Collaborative — you work closely with a small team and contribute ideas openly
- Ambitious — you want to learn fast and leave a mark
